Spinnaker Tower in the News!

We reopen our doors for a new season with excitement! Visitor attractions are nothing without their visitors and our incredible views had been going to waste with no guests here to enjoy them! Still though, there has been some trepidation about what the appetite will be for UK days out, as the ‘can we, can’t we’ debacle around foreign holidays plays out. So it has been really heartening to be featured in national and regional press across the country, as one the top ten UK landmarks that Brits want to visit this summer – in fact we claimed the top spot! Following investigation by Parkdean Resorts into the top places that would-be tourists were searching for online, Spinnaker Tower features alongside popular destinations including Buckingham Palace and Warwick Castle as places that British daytrippers plan to head to as lockdown rules ease. Of course we couldn’t be happier to be included and can’t wait to welcome guests from all over Britain this season. (Article written by Tamara Hinson @tamarahinson)

We are also buzzing to be included in The Ultimate British Isles Bucket List feature in The Independent, with our abseil experience! Personally we’ve always thought very highly of what we’ve dubbed ‘the ultimate Spinnaker Tower experience’, but to be recognised on a national must-do list, alongside Sky Diving over Devon and scuba diving with seals in the Bristol Channel, feels rather special! We offer our abseils most weekends throughout the summer and often host charities who use the challenge to fundraise. Places are available to book through our website, for guests over the age 14.

Following on from that the icing on the ‘wedding’ cake was inclusion in regional press, citing us in the top 5 unique venues for a wedding in Hampshire – possibly for those guests who first take up the suggestion of another regional paper that the Spinnaker Tower is a great romantic date location! With our stunning views, tempting high teas and, at certain times of the year, our twinkling sunsets – who are we to argue!
