Our Leisure & Tourism Day, in conjunction with Action Stations, is designed for students in key stage 4 and above. Including a combination of workshops and presentations, this educational trip will cover the following learning outcomes:
- Understanding our business: who are we, company structure, job roles, staff training
- Customer service skills and customer feedback
- Marketing: The 4 Ps, SWOT analysis, social media, Trip Advisor
Your day will start at 10am and finish at 2.30pm and will include a visit to both Emirates Spinnaker Tower and Action Stations, within Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, as well as a choice of presentations and workshops. Build your day, tailored to the needs and learning styles of your group.
Presentation options include:
Who are we? An attraction overview.
Customer Service – who are our customers, the importance of customer service and staff
Branding – brand overview and well known brands
Marketing – Emirates Spinnaker Tower 4 Ps and SWOT analysis
Marketing – An overview from both attractions
Company Structure – Owners, staff roles, lines of responsibility
Workshop options include:
Customer Service Skills – listening, body language, communication
Complaint handling – postive and negative language and role playing
Marketing – Cost vs Effect, developing a brand and a strapline
Customer Feedback – Trip Advisor, Facebook, Visit England Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme
£12 per student.
One free adult space for every 10 paying students.
