At Spinnaker Tower, we are on a journey to work with a range of local suppliers located within the 23 mile radius of our breath-taking view both within our retail and catering services to give our guests a real taste of Portsmouth. This year, we have seized the opportunity to showcase some of the local musical talent at our Sunset Sundays event throughout the summer.

Sunset Sundays offers guests a chance to explore the spectacular night-time views of Portsmouth, the Solent and beyond, listen to live music and try locally-sourced favourites such as Isle of Wight Distillery Mermaid Gin. It’s the perfect unique addition to an evening in Gunwharf Quays, making that Sunday evening meal, stroll or drink that extra bit special.

Here is a little bit of information about our upcoming performers.

Keystone Duo

Keystone Duo are a unique duet featuring two vibrant artists; Australian singer Sarah Samiakos and British bassist Jamie Davis. Together they perform beautifully stripped-back contemporary tunes varying from pop, soul, jazz, blues and R&B, creating a special electro-acoustic sound.

Both artists are professionally trained and highly experienced musicians, and over the last 10 years they have performed at a wide range of special events such as weddings, corporate functions and parties as well as performing at a variety of world-renowned venues in both Australia and the UK, including Sydney’s Opera Bar and The Royal Albert Hall in London. They have also travelled the world entertaining on cruise ships (P&O Australia, P&O UK and Carnival USA) in various bands, venues and shows for a large variety of audiences.

They are currently based in South of England and are available for events all over the world.

The Ohmz

Isle of Wight favourites, The Ohmz are a seven-piece reggae band complete with a live three-piece horn section creating an original sound you won’t forget.

Formed in 2010, the band started playing in pubs on the Island, and have since progressed to performing at venues and festivals across the country, including opening the main stage at Bestival 2017. Since then, they have been working hard on their debut album and are now set to make even greater waves spreading positive vibrations everywhere they go.

Danielle Lawrence

Danielle Lawrence is an acoustic pop singer from Southampton. Throughout Sunset Sundays, Danielle has played alongside an acoustic guitarist creating the ultimate relaxed vibes to go alongside the spectacular view.

Ruthie B

Ruthie B is Singer/Song Writer who has been performing in the UK for several years as part of a pianist duo.

Ruth’s repertoire consists of various Jazz, Soul and Modern / Pop classics including covers of Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Doris Day and, Ruth’s favourite, Karen Carpenter. She is currently based in Southampton, performing at private events such as weddings and parties and has made a name for herself within the local music circuit.
