Accessibility

We want every guest to enjoy the spectacular views from the tower and feel confident and welcome when planning a visit. For safety reasons, we can accommodate one wheelchair user in the tower at any given time. Please contact us before your visit so that we can ensure you have the best possible experience.

Lift and Stair Access

Lift access is available to the View Deck at 100 metres and The Clouds at 105 metres. View Deck 3 or Sky Garden is only accessible by stairs.

In the event of an emergency, guests must exit via the 560 step staircase. Because of this, we must carefully manage how many visitors who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility are inside the tower at once.

  • Guests who can use the stairs with some assistance: up to two may visit at the same time.
  • Guests who cannot use the stairs: one visitor at a time, assisted by a trained team member using the Evac Chair.
  • Guests must be able to transfer into the Evac Chair either independently or with assistance from their own carer, and must weigh no more than 23 stone /146 kilograms.

If another wheelchair user is already visiting, our team will arrange the next available time for you to go up, or offer a comfortable waiting area until it is safe for you to visit. We appreciate your understanding that these measures are in place solely for everyone’s safety.

High Tea and Visit Duration

Guests joining us for High Tea at The Clouds are welcome to enjoy their table for up to 90 minutes. This allows time to relax, take in the views, and enjoy your experience at a comfortable pace.

As all High Tea bookings include all day tower admission, you are welcome to visit the viewing deck either before or after your tea. If you would like to explore first, please arrive at least 30 minutes before your booked tea time to allow time to enjoy the views before heading to The Clouds.

Guests who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility may wish to plan their visit carefully, as only one wheelchair user can be accommodated in the tower at a time. If another guest is already visiting, our team will offer the next available time slot or assist you in planning your access before your booking. Please contact us if you would like help scheduling your visit so you can make the most of your experience.

What to Expect on the Day

  • When you arrive, our team will confirm your visit time and support any access needs.
  • If another guest using a wheelchair is already in the tower, we may ask you to wait briefly for safety reasons.
  • You are welcome to enjoy the Waterfront Cafe or the gift shop while you wait.
  • Recognised assistance dogs are welcome throughout the tower.
