How many visitors do you have a year?

In our first year of opening we welcomed 600,000 visitors, a staggering 140,000 over the 460,000 forecast. By our second birthday in October 2007, more than one million visitors had walked through the doors. We now have an annual budget of 420,000 visitors.

What are your target markets?

Our main target markets are; day visitors (domestic and overseas), groups, education and corporate.

How do you overcome language barriers with your international visitors?

We have a number of multi-lingual facilities available including our Audio Guides which are available in French, Spanish, Italian and German, our talking telescopes which include translations in English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Italian, German and Japanese and our View Book souvenirs which include some translation into French and Spanish.

Who operates the Spinnaker Tower?

The Spinnaker Tower is owned by Portsmouth City Council but is managed by Heritage Projects (Portsmouth) Limited, part of the Continuum Group – visitor attraction operators.

What is your mission statement?
