Help for Heroes, the charity that helps wounded soldiers, has received a grand total of £8,000 throughout 2011 from the Spinnaker Tower, after the visitor attraction chose the charity as its’ ‘Charity of the Year’.
The 170-metre viewing tower placed collecting tins at key points around the tower and it’s Waterfront Café, whilst selling the charity’s wristbands too. The money will go towards furthering the charity’s aim of helping soldiers recover from their wounds while working to highlight the heroic efforts that servicemen make for our country.
